Tapestry of Home: Memory, Identity and Community

Participatory textile art project explores concepts of home-making of Hong Kong migrant communities from 2019 in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames

The project provides a social platform and creates a safe space for facilitated conversations that enable honesty and vulnerability on social and cultural differences. The workshop invites and encourages the Hong Kong migrant community to interact with the local community and unfold a pathway of social integration. Finally, all participants are free to emotionally support each other and receive support from another within the group.
