Encounter, Engagement, and Expression: Navigating Kingston with Art
Community project August to October 2024 Organised by Vegecoopia and generously supported by the Mayor of London, this bilingual project (English and Cantonese) invited residents of Kingston Town, New Malden, and Tolworth to explore their neighbourhoods through the lens of art. Over the course of three two-day workshops, participants delve into a variety of artistic mediums, including community work, cyanotype textile printing, drawing, and embroidery, led by artist Iris Tsang and Wai Hung Siu. These workshops provide a platform for sharing stories, fostering connections, and creating collective artwork. Art X Assisted Reproduction Technologies (ART) exhibit in reSURGE Gallery
Festival of Engineering, UCL Faculty of Engineering Sciences Nunn Hall, level 4, 20 Bedford Way, London WC1H 0AL 19 - 20 July 2024, 10am - 5pm The Festival of Engineering is an exploratory summer showcase held by UCL for future engineers, industry innovators and public enthusiasts. It explores cutting-edge innovation and how humanity is tackling its biggest challenges, as well as provides an incredible opportunity to engage with leading engineers, industry professionals, and fellow enthusiasts, with interactive exhibits, hands-on workshops, and captivating talks. The Art X Assisted Reproduction Technologies (ART) project will be showcased at the ReSURGE gallery, a group show of SURGE I, II and III (2021-2023), a collaboration between UAL’s Post-Grad Community and Wellcome / EPSRC Centre for Interventional and Surgical Sciences (WEISS), a project bringing together scientists, artists, and the public to explore the complexities and application of technology in surgery. |

Surge II: Art X Assisted Reproduction Technologies (ART) at FUSE International, Kingston, London
28 June - 1 July 2024 FUSE International 2024 is a ten-day international celebration of live performance and creativity, providing a platform for young creatives to engage in innovative and authentic theatre, dance, comedy, cabaret, and visual arts projects. In an era dominated by immersive and virtual art forms, it is refreshing to witness young people dedicated to experimenting with and mastering live art forms. The Art X Assisted Reproduction Technologies (ART) project , will feature at FUSE International, alongside A Glimpse into Lab, a VR experience of an IVF lab by Choni Wangmo, and Embryo Sculptures by Chloe He, sparking conversations on family planning and options with LGBTQ+ youth, as well as interdisciplinary research on art and healthcare. |
